ONE MORE THING

It seems that Scotland now doesn't share anything with the rest of the union

So instead of letting them getting angry about being controlled by London then bizarrely signing to unelected officials in Europe, how about federalisation.

Scotland can control it's own 'domestic' policies, get its own tax, be responsible to the people of Scotland.

England can have its own Parliament - hell it's mainly conservative looking at the map - same domestic tax.

Energy, defence, finance (eg banks, markets etc) come under national.

Oh and if the Scots complain about Oil, you can have that on condition that you pay back the money given to you when you bankrupted yourselves chasing the slavery economy

HT to the wife for suggesting this!

FURTHER THOUGHT

As we await the invevitable bullshit from tossers like Simon Heffer may I point out a couple of things -

Cameron has done an amazing thing - biggest turn for any Conservative opposition, bigger than their beloved Thatcher's party.

The margins in England at least were tiny, a 1-2% swing extra could have seen a clear majority for the Conservatives.

Last point - what's a decent remover of superglue cos I'm sure Gordo is currently doing the locks!

BALLS

so near yet...

As this election limps to a close it is now clear that we are in Hung Parliament territory.

A few thoughts

1) The BBC this morning has completely ditched any pretence to neutrality. I have had to turn over to another channel because the open sneering at the Tories would lead to me getting a new telly - I wonder if by breaching its Charter this means that everyone can refuse to pay their licence fee?

2) How depressing is it that despite everything there were still enough idiots (29%) to vote for Labour? Client state in action.

3) The Tories should stand firm against Lib Dem demands. It has become clear that the "third" way is not acceptable to the UK electorate.

4) How on earth did Zac Goldsmith win?

5) How on earth did Sadiq Khan keep Tooting?

6) Why can't potential voters tell the time? The poll is open from 7 in the morning to 10 at night, if you can't get there in time then are you sure you have the logical reasoning to vote?

7) So close! Ed Balls nearly went and scrapped in with 1,000 majority

8) Tom Harris and Douglas Carswell comfortably in yay!

9) The markets are going to be fun for the next few weeks and keep an eye on the credit rating agencies.

10) I think there should be an in-depth investigation into postal voting - in some areas, the stench is powerful.

oh and

11)There will be another election within six months - God help us ;)

MAY THE TOM TOM BE WITH YOU

Tom Tom is doing Star Wars guidance voice-overs.

Here's one of the recordings

HERE WE GO...

So from 7 this morning this is it.

I will urge anyone who reads this blog to vote, it doesn't matter who you are for or even if you want to spoil your ballot paper, it matters that you have turned up and registered your view.

MAY THE 4th

LOTS AND BALLOTS

Much has been made of Friday seeing a hung Parliament, personally I still think Cameroon will be heading to Buck House with a majority but if disaster happens then what will Nick do?

If the Lib Dems sacrifice principle for power (what them? Nah, they'd never...oh hang on...) then I would like to see the voters hang them by the proverbials in the inevitable next election.

I find it inconceivable that the Lib Dems would allow Cleggy to bolster the Tories as their views sit more comfortably with Labour. However, how - if the polls are right - can they justify propping up a party that put us into this mess in the first place and came third in the popular vote?

The other thing that springs to mind is the lot of Fate. Labour's been hugging a liberal ever since it became clear that this was the only way to keep power.

But

But what if the fates decide differently?

It is not impossible that Lib Dems could become the official opposition AT the expense of Labour.

Could the curse of Jonah extend all the back towards his own party?
